[Man of Letters]

I was rushing from city square to watch the musical, called [Man of Letters], at UCC
maybe it's really fate, as i reached the UCC lobby just before 8pm even i met a big jam at the JB custom before that
the ticket is free, but it interests me more because of the music composer Dick Lee
As he was awarded the Cultural Medallion for brilliance in music composition last October, and was named Composer of the Year at this year's COMPASS awards
Man of Letters is the 1st full-length musical commissioned by NUS. As such, it marks an important milestone to the NUS of her 100th aniversary
and the director, Darren Yap, was the resident director of Miss Saigon
background was based on the history of the University of Malaya at 1955
and it's about the story of malaya students who stood up and against the british colony at that time
it was such a great show
i was impressed by the props designed as it was movable and used effectively
they acted very well
they sang very well
and the lighting ...
everything was so nicely done
i enjoyed it very much
it's even nicer and touching than the Snow Wolf Lake by Jacky Cheung that i watched before in Beijing
it really shows how proffessional and talented how local talents could be
too bad i could not manage to take a photo
